ALLDAY PROJECT
Producer Teddy has taken a bold gamble with a mixed-gender group. Despite the growth of K-pop, mixed groups have struggled to establish themselves. The question now is whether this group, formed under Teddy’s direction, can change the game.

According to THE BLACK LABEL, ALLDAY PROJECT will officially debut on June 23 with the release of their single “FAMOUS.”
The group consists of ANNIE, TARZAN, BAILEY, WOOCHAN, and YEONGSEO. They announced their debut by posting selfies with approval letters on their social media.
The members’ backgrounds immediately grabbed attention. ANNIE is the eldest daughter of Lee Myung-hee, Chairwoman of the Shinsegae Group, and Jeong Yoo-kyung, Chairwoman of Shinsegae International. BAILEY is a choreographer who has worked on many K-pop routines. YEONGSEO was a former member of the group ILLIT but left before debut. TARZAN is a model and dancer who won several prestigious competitions as a teenager. WOOCHAN gained recognition through the show “Show Me the Money.”
With these impressive profiles, ALLDAY PROJECT creates a unique dynamic as a mixed group. In the ’90s and early 2000s, mixed groups like Roo’ra, Sharp, Cool, T.T.Ma, Jam, Koyote, and Turtle enjoyed huge popularity thanks to catchy melodies and the harmony between male and female vocals, both in music and variety shows.
However, as the K-pop market reorganized around boy and girl groups, mixed groups lost their place. Among those still active are KOYOTE, and KARD, signed with DSP Media, remains one of the few mixed groups continuing to perform. ALLDAY PROJECT marks the return of mixed groups after about eight years.
The decline of mixed groups is attributed to concept limitations, the unique nature of Korea’s idol fandom market, and the difficulty of building and maintaining a loyal fanbase. Even KARD, now in their eighth year, has focused more on the global market than the Korean one.

That’s why Teddy’s mixed group is drawing so much attention. A former member of 1TYM, Teddy produced groups like 2NE1 and BLACKPINK. In 2015, he founded THE BLACK LABEL and led solo debuts like Jeon Somi’s, launched the girl group MEOVV, and produced the girl group IZNA.
Although his recent work mainly centers on girl groups, Teddy continues to work on diverse musical projects, including composing Taeyang’s “Vibe” and G-Dragon’s “Home sweet home.”
On official social media, he shared his vision:
“Those who forge their own paths—bold, distinctive, and uncompromising—aspire to become a lasting force in art beyond fleeting trends.”
In a teaser video, he stated, “The world doesn’t know ALLDAY PROJECT yet, but this project is ready.”
With an impressive lineup, ALLDAY PROJECT hopes to overcome skepticism and bring fresh energy to the music industry.
