THE ROSE
THE ROSE opens the doors to its “WRLD” in Paris.
After a concert in April 2024, the group THE ROSE came back to the French capital on June 13 at La Seine Musicale for its “ONCE UPON A WRLD 2025” world tour. Invited by Live Nation France, KSTATION TV had the honor to attend this concert.
Accompanied by the track “솜 (Som)“, the concert begins with the story of a young boy discovering an unknown world ruled by dreams and emotions. A unique and emotional world that THE ROSE (WOOSUNG, DOJOON, HAJOON, TAEGYEOM) would invite us to explore throughout the evening.
In a soft and comforting acoustic atmosphere, “Ticket to the sky” and “Childhood” open the concert, setting an intimate mood. This feeling of closeness is enhanced not only by the band’s proximity to its audience but also by the venue’s layout. Held in the theater of La Seine Musicale, the concert provided the BLACKROSES (fandom name) with a unique experience. The audience, seated both in the stands and the floor section, felt like they were listening to four storytellers sharing their world through music.
From the first songs, the powerful and deep voices of WOOSUNG and DOJOON captivated the crowd, who responded warmly with cheers at the end of the second song. The group continued its story with “Definition of ugly is” and “She’s in the rain“, sung in unison with the BLACKROSES, creating a unique moment of connection. Then, the mood shifted when “Tomorrow” played: the venue ignited as the audience stood up, sang, and danced in a joyful explosion, closing the first chapter with vibrant energy.
The lights dimmed, and THE ROSE revealed a new chapter. After the acoustic softness, the stage transformed into a warm, cosy bedroom—an intimate cocoon where THE ROSE opened the door to its dream-filled world. It’s in this new setting that “Nebula” and “Lifeline” echoed, setting the crowd ablaze. Carried by this energy, the band followed with “You’re beautiful“, “Shift“, and “Slowly“, blending tenderness and intensity to offer a dreamlike moment before shifting back to a more electric vibe with “Nauseous” and “Yes“, which had the fans dancing and singing along.
After this festive moment, THE ROSE introduced the final chapter with the well-known “Back to me“. The energy of the BLACKROSES peaked, making the floor of La Seine Musicale vibrate under the power of their voices and the intensity of their emotions. This energy carried on with “Alive” and “Red“. Then, the mood changed again, becoming even more intimate and melancholic. Before performing “Sorry” and “Eclipse“, WOOSUNG took a moment to speak about the band’s creation and philosophy in a heartfelt speech:
“We created THE ROSE because we believed music was truly healing. It allows us to share our energy, to let ourselves go. Even if only two people listen to us, we will keep playing to share these emotions.“
As the evening drew to a close, THE ROSE was not ready to end the story just yet. The band energetically and emotionally performed “Beauty and the beast“, “Nevermind“, “Wonder“, “Sour”, and “Cosmo“, before concluding this musical journey with “O“—a gentle yet powerful invitation to hold on to hope and keep dreaming. Finally, they warmly thanked their fans for their unwavering support and promised to return to Paris very soon.

To conclude, we’ll remember the sincerity and passion of the band. THE ROSE transported us into their unique world, offering a moment suspended out of time. Moreover, the incredible energy of the BLACKROSES beautifully enhanced the intimate atmosphere the band sought. Finally, the performances of “Sorry” and “Back to me” left a strong and touching impression through THE ROSE’s vocal power and raw emotion, but also thanks to the fans’ energy, which conveyed a true sense of unity during these moments.
After Zurich, Vienna, Paris, and Amsterdam, THE ROSE will continue its European tour on June 17 at Indigo in London, United Kingdom.
