PARK SUNG ON
Trot prodigy PARK SUNG ON is returning with a new album after a nine-month hiatus.
His third single, titled “왕자님의 꿈 (The Prince’s Dream),” will be released on July 13 at 6 PM (KST) on major music streaming platforms.
The album includes a total of four tracks, including two instrumental versions. The title track, “왕자님의 꿈,” is arranged in a fusion EDM style, blending fast-tempo traditional folk instruments with synthesizer sounds. It brings a fresh twist to the semi-trot genre by combining the emotional depth of trot, beloved by middle-aged listeners, with a vibrant rhythm and a youthful, modern vibe, highlighted by PARK SUNG ON’s powerful and clear voice.
With its lively yet warm rhythm, the song delivers comfort and encouragement to those quietly walking their own path.
Another track, “나도 알아요 (I Know Too),” was written by renowned lyricist Park Jin Bok, who has worked with artists like Lim Young Woong and Miss Kim. The song sincerely conveys the unconditional love of parents through the eyes of teenager PARK SEONG ON. Its honest lyrics reflect deep emotions, stirring both empathy and heartfelt emotion.
“왕자님의 꿈” is PARK SUNG ON’s first release since “직진이야 (Keep Going Straight)” in October of last year, showcasing his musical growth and emotional maturity.
PARK SUNG ON first gained fame by winning the “Hidden Singer 7” episode featuring Song Ga In, later going on to win the Champions’ Final. He then secured a spot in the TOP 7 on “Mister Trot 2,” drawing public attention with performances of tracks like “사공 (Boatman),” “살리고 (Save Me),” and “직진이야 (Keep Going Straight),” expanding his musical range and appealing to a broad audience.
