IVE - JANG WON YOUNG
A stunning Ice Queen for Harper’s Bazaar.
JANG WON YOUNG, member of the group IVE, transformed into a chic “Ice Princess,” going beyond her usual sweet image in a fashion magazine shoot. JANG WON YOUNG was chosen as the cover model for the August issue celebrating the 29th anniversary of Harper’s Bazaar Korea, showcasing her diverse charms across four different covers.
This shoot, centered around the main concept of the “Ice Princess,” focused on revealing a new side of JANG WON YOUNG. She temporarily set aside her familiar adorable girl image and proved her ability to embody the concept with cold, confident expressions and a mature vibe.
She especially captivated while wearing Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, reaffirming her nickname as the “human Miu Miu.” Having been the youngest cover model in 2021, she now shows, three years later, a noticeably deeper artistic maturity.
In the interview following the shoot, JANG WON YOUNG shared her personal philosophy, which she calls her “Wonyoung way of thinking.” She said, “Effort always comes back in one way or another, like a boomerang. If the results aren’t there yet, it just means the time hasn’t come. In those moments, it’s better to think, ‘My efforts must be sprouting somewhere right now!’”
Regarding her nickname “Lucky Vicky,” she explained, “My English name ‘Vicky,’ given when I was young, comes from Victoria, the goddess of victory.” She added that she believes in the power of words, quoting lyrics from IVE’s song “Attitude”: “No matter the ups and downs, luck is always on my side.”
