WOODZ
WOODZ (Cho Seung-youn) has reconnected with his fans after completing his military service.

On July 21, for his very first post-discharge appearance, WOODZ held a live broadcast on the global fan platform BERRIES, where he was able to meet his international fans, known as MOODZ.
Appearing in his military uniform in front of the camera, he greeted fans with a warm message and shared updates on his future plans, along with various personal anecdotes. WOODZ said:
“It’s my first time being on a fan community platform, and I’m so happy to finally have a space where I can interact closely with MOODZ all around the world. I have so many things I want to do through BERRIES. I plan to go live often and share many memories with MOODZ.”
He added:
“The moment I saw the MOODZ today was the happiest part of my entire day. I also read every message you left on BERRIES, and I had a wonderful day after being discharged this morning.”

Speaking about the viral success of his song “Drowning,” he expressed his gratitude:
“At first, I didn’t fully realize the song was gaining popularity again, but then I saw it going viral on social media, and its chart rankings were rising. It was amazing. I thought a lot about the people I work with on music. It meant so much to show that the music we wanted to make was the right path. Of course, I’m grateful for the praise I’ve received, but what makes me happiest is that my fans, my close ones, and the people around me can talk about me with pride.”
He also shared:
“I can’t release an album immediately, but I’m working hard. I’ll be performing at a lot of festivals that are already lined up. I’m going to live like a man with twelve arms! I’m preparing a lot, and I think the MOODZ will be seeing a lot of me from now on.”
As a reminder, WOODZ created a major buzz during his military service when his 2023 single “Drowning” unexpectedly climbed to the top of music charts and even won first place on music shows, an extremely rare feat under such circumstances. This solidified his position as one of the hottest artists of the first half of 2024.
Looking ahead, WOODZ is set to appear at Japan’s largest music festival, “Summer Sonic 2025″, on August 16–17, followed by the “2025 Busan International Rock Festival” in September, signaling a particularly busy second half of the year.
