The 80 survivors of “Boys II Planet” have been confirmed

In the second episode of “Boys II Planet”, which aired on Mnet on July 25 (directed by Kim Shin-young, Jung Woo-young, and Go Jeong-gyeong), the evaluation for the signal song “Hola solar” officially began, following the initial ranking challenge. Some contestants, returning two years after appearing in the previous season, impressed the masters with their unwavering passion and noticeable growth. Participants with prior K-pop experience stood out with performances that felt like they belonged on professional music shows.
As the first official evaluation by the Star Creators approached, the contestants pushed themselves harder than ever to prove their potential in this new environment. The panel of Planet C masters, Kim Jaejoong, Lim Han-byul, Hyolyn, Baek Gu-young, Jay Rick, Xiaoting, and JUSTHIS, offered critiques that were both strict and compassionate, rooted in careful observation. One contestant, overwhelmed by stress and self-doubt, overcame his struggles through perseverance. Another impressed the judges with a unique reinterpretation of a deep, gritty rap in his own signature style.
In the midst of this, ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao made a surprise appearance, bringing energy and excitement to the stage. He generously shared tips from his own stage experience, including how to perfect a final pose, and offered heartfelt encouragement to the trainees. As the contestants stepped onto the long-awaited stage, they were visibly moved by the grand set, exclaiming, “We’re finally on this stage.” Their focused performances, the result of hard work and dedication, clearly showcased their potential as future debut artists and touched the hearts of viewers.

Following the global showcase of the signal song, the results of the second ranking, based on evaluations from both the masters and the Star Creators, were announced. After this intense round of competition, 28 contestants were confirmed as survivors in Planet C. The heartfelt words of those who remained, promising to carry the dreams of those who had been eliminated, left a deep impression on the audience.
The third episode of “Boys II Planet”, airing on July 31, will feature a one-on-one ranking battle between the 80 surviving contestants from Planet K and Planet C, now finally brought together. After the observational phase during the signal song test, curiosity is growing around what team dynamics will emerge for the first competition stage, and how contestants who earned the advantage of team selection will strategize. The episode will air on July 31 at 9:20 PM KST.
