The group SEVENTEEN and the popular cartoon character The Smurfs have partnered to release a special video for “God of music” (음악의 신).

According to PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT, the group’s agency, Peyo Company, owner of the Smurfs rights, released the collaboration video last night at 11 p.m. KST.
This video integrates the original shot in Budapest, Hungary, for “God of music”, adding the popular Smurf characters as well as new characters reflecting the universe of SEVENTEEN.
The presence of PAPA SCHTROUMPF, SMURFETTE, and CLUMSY SMURF, characters accompanying the members, highlights the message of the song, which celebrates a world united by music.
These three characters dance with SEVENTEEN performing the signature choreography of “God of music”. Towards the end of the video, new Smurf characters inspired by SEVENTEEN also appear.
This video was motivated by the fact that the release date of “God of music” and the Smurfs’ anniversary, October 23, are the same, and that both contents share a common value: coexistence.
The president of Peyo Company and daughter of the original Smurfs creator Peyo, Véronique Cullifort, stated:
“This collaboration places fun and friendship at the center of its values. It is also the vision of the Smurfs, which aims to bring more laughter, joy, and harmony to the world.” She added: “My father, Peyo, would have been proud of this collaboration with SEVENTEEN.”
