Singer EUN YU RI, former member of girl group BLAH BLAH and originally from Ulleung Island in North Gyeongsang Province, said she had donated 20,000 masks to her hometown in Ulleung Island this morning of December 14th.

“Although the novel coronavirus infection has not occurred on Ulleung Island, we have taken the precautionary decision to prevent confirmed cases from recurring in the future,” EUN YU RI explained. The young woman added: “I have come to convey this message in the sincere hope that there will never be an infection with Covid19 on Ulleung Island, where there are many elderly people.“
The 20,000 masks donated by EUN YU RI represent the most masks donated by individuals and the most masks donated by every resident of Ulleung County.
For the first time on Ulleung Island, EUN YU RI made her debut as the singer of idol girl group “BLAH BLAH” in 2017, and is currently engaged in various entertainment activities, including appearing on the air while learning to act.
“We sincerely thank the celebrities of Ulleung Island for sending us so many masks and we will treasure them for the elderly,” said Ulleung County Governor Kim Byung Soo.
“We hope that we will continue to promote Ulleung Island through activities and greatly contribute to the development of Ulleung County..”
