When dance and kpop unite beyond languages.

Last Sunday we were in Brussels, Belgium. KSTATION TV had decided to meet Belgian fans during the organization of a “Random Play dance” event.
This one was organized by a young dance cover crew “Nexus“,in a public place, in the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels.

It was through its social networks that the crew disseminated the information in order to gather as many fans as possible to come and dance together to kpop music.
The NEXUS dance crew is a new Belgian dance crew of different ages and coming from different cities (Namur, Liège, Brussels…), who have a passion for dance and kpop music. The crew was organizing a random for the first time and it worked very well and attracted a lot of people.
“First we wanted to do a random before doing covers, it brought us new subscribers and also people who wanted to join the crew – Sarah”
One of the things that struck us the most during this Random was the fact that the participants spoke different languages. Brussels being a multicultural city, the kpop fans present there spoke French, English, Spanish and Dutch. The dance crew handled this situation well and the fans among themselves were quick to translate when information was given. Passion taking over, the language barrier does not exist.
We could notice that during this Random, the girl group songs worked a lot, Blackpink, Oh my girl, Aespa, StayC …, and the dancers present knew the choreographies by heart. According to the crew members, the new generation of fans are more open about styles and are not limited by genre. There was also no shortage of boy band songs (Ateez, Bts, Stray kids…).
The Random Play Dance, as the members of the group tell us, is an opportunity to go out, to come together and what better than to share a passion, thus allowing fans to meet.
During this Random we even met a young French girl from Marseille and studying in Brussels, showing us that the passion for kpop music and dance attracts and brings people together.

That same day took place the Belgian final of the Kpop World Festival competition and the concert of the group Blakswan.
The word of our reporter: “It is always interesting to meet the fans who organize events, who take their time to share their passion and allow everyone to come and have a good time – Congratulations to them all.”
