MARK of the global group NCT graces the cover of the November issue of the Korean magazine ESQUIRE, the country’s first male fashion and lifestyle magazine, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

In an interview published on October 23, he was asked which album he considered the most precious. MARK replied:
“If I had to choose something truly precious, I’d say my solo album. My first solo album, “THE FIRST FRUIT”, tells my life story through four cities: Toronto, where I was born; New York, where I moved for the first time; Vancouver, where I grew up; and Seoul. It traces my life journey across these cities.”
He added:
“The process of creating the album was therapeutic. It allowed me to reflect on who I am and revisit my life, which was healing. Through the album, I know myself better and love myself more.”
Regarding working on personal projects despite a busy schedule, MARK explained:
“To continue writing lyrics, I had to stay focused, so it didn’t even feel burdensome. The album contains 13 songs, but I wrote many more that weren’t included.”

MARK has also recently appeared on the show <냉장고를 부탁해> (“Please Take Care of My Refrigerator”), charming viewers with his humor and cuteness. On this, he said:
“It wasn’t an effort to be funny; it was a natural reaction. If it was perceived as humorous, that’s great. I never thought of myself as funny, and I didn’t try to make people laugh on TV.”
The November issue of ESQUIRE featuring MARK has been available in bookstores since October 23 and can also be viewed on ESQUIRE Korea’s website.
