Today October 10th, 2016 Cube Entertainment is starting its new group of boys PENTAGON. 10 new faces that we could first see in a video trailer very mysterious, futuristic and intriguing that revealed the name of the group and a start date. But of what ?
Then, thanks to a survival called “Pentagon Maker“, we finally discovered the 10 faces of the boys as well as their names: JIN HO, HUI, HONG SEOK, E-DAWN, YEO ONE, SHIN WON, YAN AN, KINO, YU TO and WOO SEOK, and the goal of the survival was for the 10 boys to improve 5 chosen themes: Vocal / Rap, Dance, Team Work, Mind and Talent. Throughout the episodes the pentagon of the themes evolved or not and would allow Cube Entertainment and the jury to choose which would be the boys who would join the final group.

For their debut with this first mini album “PENTAGON” the members of PENTAGON actively participated in the writing, the composition and the realistation of it.
To open the showcase and present this first mini-album, the group chose to perform first on an introduction “Wake up“. A good title chooses to show that it is time to wake up and that the boys emerge from their sleep (trainee period) to finally reveal themselves to the world, on a powerful rhythm and style rather hiphop.
It will link directly with the title “Pentagon“, a more sentimental title in terms of the lyrics that will try to touch the feelings and the hearts of people.
After these first 2 songs, the boys will present one by one against the journalists present in number. They will reveal their qualities and their desires to become a big group on which it will be necessary to count this year to come and later. They will lend themselves to the game of “phototime”.
Then it’s time to unveil the title song “Gorilla” with which they will present themselves later on the stages of different TV sets. The title “Gorilla” has a strong rhythm that can express the masculinity of the group and highlighting each member, as well as rappers, vocals and performers. For this title Cube Entertainment has appealed to Seo Ji Eum for the lyrics that worked on the titles of EXO “Growl”, RED VELVET “Dumb dumb” or LOVELYZ “Atchoo”.
The first PENTAGON “PENTAGON” mini-album is composed of 7 songs: “Wake up“, “Pentagon“, “Gorilla“, “미지근 해“, “Smile“, “귀 좀 막아 줘” and “You are“ . E-DAWN is the member who has been most involved in writing raps for almost every title. From the first mini-album boys are already in action for writing and composition which predestines them for a very good future.
PENTAGON, the new group of Cube Entertainment debuts 4 years after those of BTOB. The fans who have followed them since their first steps will finally be delighted and seduced by these 10 boys with undeniable talents.
