Band IZ won the main prize in the Kpop category at the 2019 Korea Culture Entertainment Awards.

IZ won the Singer Kpop Award at the 27th Korea Culture Entertainment Awards held on November 29th at 63 Yeouido Building.
The Korea Culture Entertainment Awards, celebrating its 27th anniversary this year, is Korea’s largest art awards ceremony. Recognized artists in the fields of culture and entertainment such as music, television, film, musicals and plays are selected and honored each year.
Shortly after the award, band IZ said: “First of all, we are so happy to receive a big prize in a glorious place.We are especially grateful for our fandom the ‘I LUV‘“, and added “In fact, we have released a new single called “Memento” today, and we hope you will give it a lot of attention and we will continue to be a group that can contribute to the Kpop.”
IZ was loved by many fans thanks to a comeback series in August with “너와의 추억은 항상 여름같아“, after “Eden” in May. On the day of the award, he notably released his new single “Memento“, which made the meaning of this award even more significant.
The 4 boys of the band IZ are preparing for a fan meeting on December 14th and a concert of end of the year on December 28th. The band will be with the fans until the last minute of 2019.
