검찰수사관 수호, which could be translated as “Inspector Suho”, is a webtoon that lands on the web, and follows the story of Suho as well as the various criminal cases he deals with.
Produced by FACT STORY, this webtoon tells the story of Choi Suho, who became a police inspector for the sole purpose of making money, coming from a rural background. However, he starts his work without the slightest passion, but then quickly takes to the game and becomes an outstanding inspector, so much so that he inherits the nickname “Pitbull Terrier” from his colleges, because as soon as he looks at a case, he will not stop as long as the case remains unsolved, like a pitbull constantly biting his prey. Sometimes violent, however, he possesses a compassionate nature and a pure heart, until he starts chasing a gangster named Kangsik.
This webtoon addresses new themes, while focusing on investigations that fall within the purview of the prosecution. The strength of this story lies in the collaboration between author JEON GUNWOO and a police inspector, CHOI GILSUNG, who brings more plausibility to the webtoon. The author’s work is famous not only for his strong sentences, but also for the construction of attractive characters and the description of scenes with concrete details, which has allowed him in the past to sign film contracts. Other well-known works on his part include SUNJAM, THE STORYTELLERS OF THE NIGHT and SALON DE HOLMES. CHOI GILSUNG has been an inspector since 2001 and currently works in the Chuncheon district of Seoul.
