Singer HAN SEUNGYUN makes his solo debut with debut mini-album, named “LOVENDER”
The young man begins by revealing that during the preparation of this album, he did a lot of sport, in particular pilates to get in shape. He also says that sport helps him sleep better, and claims to have had a good night before this showcase to present his first mini-album. Without wasting time introducing himself further, the singer poses for the photographers, then the clip for “Lovender”, with rock and tragic sounds, is broadcast. Once finished, we find HAN SEUNGYUN on stage to interpret this first title himself, accompanied by musicians.
He then interprets a second title, much softer and melodious, “Whatever you want”, with a few verses in English that will undoubtedly appeal to the most romantic. This mini-album includes a third track, “In this moment” which is the intro of “LOVENDER”, as well as the titles “Moon driver”, “Problem”, and “얼마나 좋을까 ”. The singer then looks back on his journey, and what led him to make his solo debut. In 2020, he appeared on the show “Sing Again – The unknown singer”, on the JTBC channel, bringing to light hidden talents in the music scene. Even if he did not win the show, he made an impression enough to release a first solo album today.

He shyly says he is very happy to be able to sing in front of an audience today, and that he hopes the journalists appreciated his performances. Before his participation in “Sing Again“, he had made his debut in 2012 in a group called LUNAFLY, and participated in the show “ Top Band ” in 2015. His group having separated a little more than a year after his debut, he sought to gain public recognition by uploading various videos of himself showing him singing. For this first album then, he sought to mix various inspirations he received throughout his career so that his songs are diverse and varied.
After that, he looks back on the support he received from those close to him, starting with his parents. He reveals that his mother is very curious about his activities and regularly asks him questions, but that his father seems detached. However, his father asking him here and there to sign albums for him, he knows he is proud of him. His friends are also there to surround him and bring him strength for his intimidating solo debut. HAN SEUNGYUN now hopes that his present and future songs will end up in international music charts such as Oricon or Billboard, so that his music crosses borders. If this is not the case with “LOVENDER”, he will not be discouraged, because he knows that this album marks the beginning of a new adventure.
Since his appearance on the show “Sing Again”, he has realized the keys to a healthy and happy life: eat healthy, sleep well, play sports, and above all, do what we love in life. He feels peaceful in his life now, and even gains in confidence, since he considers himself to be more and more charming since he started playing sports, and he is happy to see that his ten years of musical career behind him have not been in vain as he continues to progress and bring his music to the world. He also thanks the people who helped him in the preparation of his debut, who gave him valuable advice. He concludes by revealing that the title “Lovender” is a play on words between “love, and, her”, and that it can be related to lavender (lavender in English), his songs recalling the sweetness and delicacy of a flower.
