KIHYUN: During the recordings of “YOUTH”

MONSTA X‘s KIHYUN showed his tireless passion for music.

KIHYUN released a behind-the-scenes video of their debut mini album “YOUTH” on MONSTA X’s official YouTube channel on November 14 and 16.

KIHYUN, who started recording the title track “Youth” in the video, showed steady singing ability and a professional, detail-oriented appearance. KIHYUN re-recorded after raising the key based on his vocal range at the director’s suggestion. The high-pitched vocals of “Youth” were also recorded without any major direction.

For “Bad liar,” in the recording, KIHYUN showed off a professional appearance by taking serious action in accordance with member and songwriter HYUNGWON’s direction. KIHYUN quickly and accurately understood HYUNGWON’s increasingly detailed staging and showed a voice with strong presence.

HYUNGWON also listened carefully to KIHYUN’s recording and performed meticulously and kindly, perfectly showing his appearance as a composer.

KIHYUN finished warming up his vocal chords with a slight hum before recording “Cause of you” and started recording this one in a soft voice. His warm and sweet tone blended perfectly with the song.

JOOHEON, who came to the recording studio for a while and spontaneously participated in featuring, brightened up KIHYUN’s album with various exclamation marks.

As such, KIHYUN showed his own production skills by exchanging opinions with the producer in the recording process and led the recording, making his performance as a solo artist look forward to.
